BIA Foundation celebrated its third year anniversary along with special performances by people with disability here at BIA on August 27, 2017. Minister for women, children and social welfare, Honorable Aasha Koirala graced the program as the chief guest. And to make this anniversary even more special, BIA presented the First BIA Award to Subarna Keshari Chitrakar, who had been restlessly working for women with mental disability since last 20 years.
BIA intends to continue to present the BIA Award every year to those humanitarian individuals or organizations working for the betterment of the differently abled people’s society. This award presentation is a way of encouraging as well as recognizing the efforts of those individuals as per the wishes of our Founder, Chogyal Rinpoche.
With the undying love and support from our well-wishers, we have been able to complete three years and successfully celebrate this event and taking this opportunity we would like to take this opportunity to thank you all. We will work harder to make BIA’s existence a meaningful one contributing to positive changes in the lives of people with disability and the society as a whole in the long run.
