Inauguration of BIA Foundation’s New Branch at Kirtipur

BIA Foundation has now extended its workplace in Kirtipur, Kathmandu. The new branch was inaugurated on August 11, 2017 among a special program organized by Founder/President of BIA foundation Chogyal Rinpoche. This branch aims to facilitate 5 new projects for people with disabilities. More than 60 people with disabilities will be benefited from this branch while providing accommodation to around twenty five people.

After the devastating earthquake of Nepal in 2015, thousands of lives were lost while many came to be disabled. Since BIA Foundation is working on skill development and helping people with disabilities to be sustainable, lots of inquiries were received frequently. The workplace of Jorpati is fully occupied and so it was difficult to help more people with disabilities. This aroused the need for expansion of our organization so as to extend support to such people for their sustainable development.

Also extension of BIA Thangka Institute was also inaugurated by our Thangka Teacher Ngawang Chhiri Sherpa. This institute is being started by six new students with disabilities. A statue institute has also come into operation. More projects for people with disabilities will be started in the near future.
