For me, the basic principle of life has been to help other people. My interest to serving the people came with the knowledge that helping others would lead to a happy life. Realizing the most vulnerable in Nepal reaching out for help, I along with my father started an orphanage in Chabahil in 2001 (which is now in Swayambhu).
Later in 2014, the Bodhisattvas In Action (BIA) Foundation was established with the objectives to support more needy people. The BIA actively continues its social activities . Nepal faced the most unfortunate earthquake (7.8 magnitude) in 2015. BIA has supported hundreds of families to settle and provide essential assistance.
Through BIA Foundation, we provide support to under-privileged and needy people all over Nepal. This mainly focus on youth empowerment through education and uplifting the differently abled community of Nepal through sustainable help.
With project BIA institute, we provide initial support by training differently abled people to generate various skills also facilitate employment opportunity and contribute to the economic growth of the country. We started with two projects and currently, we have nine projects where the person with disabilities is learning various traditional Nepali art forms such as Thangka painting , making sculpture , weaving, incense making etc, depending upon their ability and interest. Nepali culture and heritage have a special value in the international market. Through different handicraft projects of BIA institute , we intend to manufacture quality products and also preserve and promote our Nepali culture and heritage. We are working to extend our endeavors gradually throughout the country as sustainable projects.
Life is all about transformation. Through BIA, we also seek to transform lives of the needy by encouraging them to be independent and generating skills in them, practicing love and compassion so that they can also help others.
