The Kathmandu Therapy Camp 2018 was organized at BIA Foundation with the help of Windhorse Rising. Starting from February 19, 2018 till March 8, 2018, the enthusiastic group of 18 doctors, rehabilitation specialists as well as physio and massage therapists from Poland and Czech Republic conducted the therapy camp for three weeks.Beginning with initial check up to find out their conditions and what they really need for their specific disability and medical treatment, they started the camp. In the later days, they began with intensive treatment, using massage therapy, wheel chair education and skill building, osteopathy treatment. The therapy conducted by them were aimed towards improving the loco-motor system through individual and group exercises, manual treatments, massage and external therapies performed according to Traditional Tibetan Medicine.
Throughout the three weeks, the BIA Students got to receive therapies from these wonderful volunteers which were not only effective for improving their conditions but it made them feel happy as well. For coming all the way here and donating their valuable time, energy and knowledge to the people with disabilities here in BIA, the whole BIA family is grateful to the volunteers, the Kathmandu Physio Camp and Windhorse Rising.
