Nepal Buddhist Nunnery

In a house in Kathmandu which belongs to Chogyal Rinpoche’s family, he established the Nepal Buddhist Nunnery in 2015. In the school, approximately 30 girls and young women from all different walks of life, especially those belonging to financially struggling family backgrounds, are provided with an in-depth knowledge on Buddhist philosophy and practices, along with a regular basic education, free-of-charge. The daily routine of the novices includes the practice of physical yoga. Higher Buddhist studies and/or nunhood are open to them.
