BIA Pashmina Institute, Jorpati
A simple, yet elegant accessory, a small piece of pashmina scarf means a lot to everyone. Draping yourself in one on a cool autumn evening with a book and a cup of tea, or wearing one out for a trendy look at the theatre or a party – pashmina is a must have to flaunt your unique style. More than that, the finest cashmere wool popular among the elites from centuries exudes much love and warmth with its possession among every group of people today. Realizing the value of the Nepali pashmina in the international market and to create job opportunities for the disabled people in the society, the project was commenced on April 25, 2015. Located on the premises of the BIA office in Jorpati, this branch is working towards creating yet another working sphere for the disabled people, specifically women, by providing them pashmina stitching training. The project is targeted not only towards making quality products but also in creating formidable employment opportunities for disabled people in the society.
